The British Fashion Council is heading to a new Soho office

The British Fashion Council has agreed a deal to relocate to a office in the heart of Soho, the organisation has said.

The BFC will move to flexible workspace provider Fora’s 33 Broadwick Street site. It said the location places it at the “epicentre of the diverse and innovative capital with close proximity to many of London’s creative spaces and major retail hubs".

It has been based at Somerset House since 2009. The whole team, around 35 employees, is due to move.

Numerous companies have had employees working remotely since March 2020 when the first lockdown started. Many firms are expected to embrace a mixture of home and office work in the future post-Covid.

Government guidance remains to work from home where you can. The BFC will update at a later date on when staff will head to the new office.

The BFC said it has “considered the evolving needs and preferences of employees and plans to adopt a permanent flexible approach to remote working”. It added that the new office space allows the team this flexibility and hosts state of the art technology and event spaces.

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC, said: “Over the past year, there has been a shift in the way we approach office work, and Fora gives us the flexibility that we need while allowing us to be in one of the most vibrant London areas.”

Fora operates 12 UK locations and offers businesses access to desk areas, meeting rooms, and events space, with flexible lease terms.
