Private jet hire boosted

Surging demand from the jet set sparked record revenues at private-jet hire firm Hangar8 in the six months to October 31, up 43% to £7.2 million on the previous year.

The company, whose clients include the Chemical Brothers, has grown its fleet to 21 aircraft.

It also moved back into the black with profits of £300,000.
