The company will continue converting 99p Stores into Poundlands with 25 already done before Christmas and another 15 due before April.
Poundland said that converted stores were performing in line with its plans, and that the deal would still add at least £25 million to earnings in the year.
The retailer said that it planned to open 70 more stores in the UK this year and 60 next year. A 10 store trial in Spain saw strong sales growth in the third quarter.
Analysts are predicting profits of between £39.8 million and £45.8 million in the full year.
