Roll up, roll up for the Alibaba show. The Chinese e-commerce giant kicked off its roadshow yesterday ahead of what could be the biggest ever stock-market float, and it promises to be a hell of an itinerary.
Oh to be a fly on the wall of the meetings involving founder Jack Ma.
A former English teacher, he is the man who celebrated Alibaba’s 10-year anniversary in 2009 by putting on a leather jacket and mohawk wig to sing Elton John’s Can you Feel the Love Tonight? from The Lion King.
He has also blessed hordes of his newly married employees and likened himself to ET.
Who knows what American bankers will make of him, but he certainly promises to be a fascinating addition to Wall Street.
