Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoon’s app but staff will also be doing table service for those who don’t have the app.
The company will not be operating a booking system.
It added that test and trace will be in operation and hand sanitisers will be available.
Wetherspoon chief executive John Hutson said: “We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs.”
The FTSE 250 firm has around 875 pubs in total. Of these, 130 won’t be able to reopen then as they are not in England where the April 12 date has been agreed.
Of the 745 sites JD Wetherspoon’s has in England, it is only opening those (394) that have enough outdoors space to make it financially viable to start welcoming customers back next month.
