James Murphy and David Golding, two of the founders of Adam&Eve/DDB, the agency behind John Lewis's ads for the past decade, won't be working on this year's Christmas campaign as they have left to set up a new, as-yet-unnamed outfit and are in hiring mode. Simon Davis, another savvy agency boss, has founded Walk-In Media, backed by MSQ Partners, to cater for mid-sized and smaller clients he says are not being well served by agency giants.
