“The market is back to normal,” said Tian Weidong at Kaiyuan Securities. “Investors can buy and sell as they wish. Under the circuit-breaker mechanism, the market was suffocated.”
In London, a modest rally was based across a range of stocks.
Richard Hunter of Hargreaves Lansdown said: “What should have been a perky start to 2016 has been eclipsed by concerns on global growth, the oil price and negative geopolitical developments. Many investors are sitting on the sidelines.”
European markets traded between 0.5% and 0.8% higher, with the broad Eurostoxx index up 0.57%.
