Three quarters of London workers worry about air quality says new poll

More than three quarters of London workers are concerned about the impact of air pollution in London, according to a new poll.

A survey of 1,000 workers based in the capital also found that 56 per cent would be more likely to come into their office rather than work from home if electric travel options were readily available.

More than six out of ten said they would be would be more likely to take a taxi or Uber if an electric car was available and 64 per cent said they would consider taking an electric bicycle or scooter to a business meeting.

The research was carried out by Uber for Business to mark the launch of a CO2 emissions tracker to help companies take action on air pollution.

Uber for Business – which provides corporate rides to thousands of companies in London – has reported a 110% increase in the number of riders in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year, as more people return to office-working.

With Uber Green for Business, companies in London can now directly measure the CO2 emissions of their travel and access electric rides any-where in the capital – helping Londoners take action on air pollution and create a greener city for all. Uber has committed to becoming an all-electric platform in the capital by 2025, and electric cars will soon be the default option for all passengers in the capital.”
