Smythson's new chief executive

Smythson has appointed a new chief executive.

The upmarket stationery business which is famed for boasting Samantha Cameron among its creative brains, has hired Andy Janowski to take over as chief executive, replacing Smythson’s owner Jacques Bahbout.

Bahbout will remain as the company’s chairman.

Janowski previously worked at Gap, then Burberry, where he was senior vice president of supply chain and chief operations officer. He became a non executive at Smythson two years ago.
