It's set to get easier for Chinese tourists to come and spend there cash in the UK, with the Chancellor announcing plans to simplify the visa process.
During a trade trip to China, George Osborne said he hoped to "strengthening the understanding between our two nations".
Under the new plan, Chinese nationals visiting the EU will not need to submit separate UK visa applications if they book with selected travel agents.
The announcement will be greeted by many business leaders who have been calling for changes to the system. Last month Travelex boss Peter Jackson told this paper that there was an "enormous" opportunity for the UK to tap into Chinese tourism spending.
Osborne is hoping the changes will help encourage Chinese investment in the UK. He told BBC Radio 4's Today programme: "Many people think of China as a sweat shop on the Pearl River. Yet it is at the forefront of medicine, computing and technology. It's a very rapidly changing country."
During his week long trip Osborne has already revealed that a Chinese firm has taken a 20% stake in a new business park in Manchester.
