It comes amid news of British household spending having dipped, with consumers saving in record numbers due to lockdowns.
Last week research from fund shop Interactive Investor estimated, based on household spending data from the Office for National Statistics, that British households will save £748.70 on average over lockdown in November.
It also found Britons in their 30s were paying 35% more into their pension pots than pre-pandemic, with contributions from those in their 40s up 18%.
